What Are Muzzle Meals?

Muzzle Meals is a mix of cooked and raw foods designed to give canines and their owners better choices of pet products. As we say, "Fine Dining for Dogs". After many hours of research, we have developed meals and treats that really are in the best interest of canines. There is something for everyone: wheat, corn, soy-free meals and treats, Raw Beef Tartare that we grind ourselves, custom meal plans, are just the beginning.

How do we store Muzzle Meals Bistro Dinners &Treats?

Muzzle Meals are Real Meats, Fruits, and Vegetable with no preservatives. Therefore, they must be refrigerated at all times just as you would your own meat and dairy products. Anything that your canine can not consume within 2 days should be frozen. To make it easy for you, we pre portioned our meals for easy serving. So, all you do is take out of the freezer 2 days worth of meals, let them thaw in the refrigerator overnight and serve. The treats should be stored in an air tight container or refrigerated. Because there are No preservatives, this means they are not intended to sit on a shelf for long periods of time.  

Can we use the microwave to heat Muzzle Meals Bistro Dinners?

Because some of the ingredients are added in after cooking to retain optimum nutrition, we suggest thawing in the refrigerator overnight and then serve. Slightly heating will bring out the aromas, but extended heating in a microwave can kill the nutrition. Never heat in a plastic bag, or use plastic wrap in a microwave - use a glass dish. For some variety, you can add a small amount of warm water to the kibble and mix with Muzzle Meals. We have found dogs really enjoy this.

How much should I feed my dog?

A general rule of thumb is to feed your dog 2-3% of his/her ideal body weight. For example at 2%, a 50lb dog would get about 1 lb of food (Muzzle Meals & Kibble) per day to start ideally split into 2 meals. This is a supplemental feeding plan, so judge accordingly. If your dog is gaining weight, feed less. If your dog is loosing weight, feed more. ALWAYS have Fresh Clean water available at all times (Washing out the bowls regularly!)

What about feeding my dog Table Scraps?

We do not suggest it. Most of the foods that humans eat are not healthy for dogs, and is in fact junk food .. Example, left over fat can upset your dog’s gastric track causing diarrhea.

Why do you have organic and non organic products?

In the future, Muzzle Meals is looking forward to being an all organic company. We are currently in search of organic and humanely treated pasture chickens and beef, as well as the humane slaughtering practices. Our goal is to be a company who gives back to the environment. Because of cost, we have to mix it up. Should anyone request only organic ingredients be used, E-mail us for a price quote. We will be more than happy to go out of our way to accommodate.

If you live in the Palm Beach, Boynton, Delray, or Boca areas. For a limited time, we offer free delivery with orders over $50. Orders below $50, we ship through Fed Ex Ground and the Post Office.
